My soon to be seven daughter asked me if I ever had butterflies in tummy - my natural reaction was to ask her why she was asking and if she knew what it meant. She dutifully explained that it is a feeling of nervousness and she had read that word in a book.
I don't remember the last time I had 'butterflies', may be when I was in university, giving exams. But ever since I have learnt to suppress that feeling and cope with it. The butterflies have got wings now and they fly away as soon as they come. Instead what I have learnt now is to think what worse can happen if things go wrong. Once we have in our minds that knot untied, it seems logical to allow things as they happen.
